Dr Craig Lia
B.Sc (Clin Sci), M.H.SC (Osteopathy), Level 1 & 2 Myofascial dry needling (MMA)
Craig grew up with a love for sports and competition; competing in skiing, cycling, running, and triathlon.
It was this enthusiasm for sport combined with a strong interest in problem-solving that led to his interest in biomechanics, injury prevention, and the human body.
Craig has a passion for learning and has continued to undertake further study in dry needling, manipulation, and rehabilitation after graduating from his Masters degree.
He applies his wealth of knowledge to understand the primary cause of an injury and creates individualised treatment plans for patients to help them recover quickly.
Beyond the clinic, Craig keeps busy with cars, staying healthy, and enjoying Melbourne’s wonderful restaurants!
Dr Craig Russell
B.Osteo.Sci./
B.App.Sci (Clin.Sci.)
Craig is a fully registered Osteopath and a member of Osteopathy Australia (OA). He graduated from RMIT in 1999, and has worked in practices across Melbourne. After gaining valuable experience in a mentoring role with the late Osteopath Jiri Benes, Craig now has a special interest in manipulative treatment of biomechanical problems, such as postural and sports injuries. In the sporting field, Craig now Osteopathically manages some of Australia’s top athletes – including cyclists, equestrian, athletics and AFL umpires.
Craig has had the enjoyable experience of placement in a Sports Medicine hospital in Mumbai, India - working in a collaborative approach alongside a medical team (including surgeons and physiotherapists) in both a mentoring and clinical capacity.
Craig has also lectured at Victoria University and RMIT in the Osteopathic undergraduate program. Currently, he co-ordinates and delivers Osteopathic professional development seminars with fellow Osteopath Dr Julie Peipers through their company Joint Play Education.
Craig enjoys spending time with his family, and can also be found supporting various sporting teams in Melbourne.
